Destiny 2 was previously only available on the PC via Activision Blizzard's Battle.net portal when Activision released the game. But Bungie broke up with Activision earlier this year, and Tuesday saw the release of the Season of Opulence, the final installment of Destiny 2.

Bungie said in his press release on the new Destiny 2 changes that there would be no segmentation player base on different platforms, which could explain why Destiny 2 has chosen the more dominant Steam as home ground. On the other hand, Bungie eliminates all platform-exclusive content, so they may pop up in some Epic stores point in the future.
