The release of Destiny 2's biggest DLC expansion, Forsaken, is just around the corner and to get the players excited about the next chapter of the game, Bungie has a new launch trailer (as well as a big new patch) released. It shows a kind of funeral for one of Destiny's most prominent characters, as well as the return of another – Uldren Sov – who serves as the primary antagonist in Forsaken.
Bungie's new video starts with us cutting off what we have "I've seen where Cayde-6 fends off countless enemies before his mind is destroyed, leading to Sov, the brother of the Queen of the Reef From there, we watch as Ikora Rey holds a funeral for Cayde and vows to avenge him, while Zavala does not risk risking one's life.
At this point we see, perhaps the most important Part of the trailer is, if a Titan vows to hunt Sov himself, this seems to be a character representing the Guardian you're playing, and if that's true, this is the first time you actually speak in Destiny 2. From there, we've seen your character and Petra Venj (a Queen's Loyalist) made a deal with one rich to track down Sov, who is burning down the throne room of the reef and rummaging about different things away.
All in all, it's an exciting look at the new expansion, if only because your motivation ̵
Coinciding with this release is the new 2.0 update. This is a big patch that overhauls weapon rifles, ammo and much more about the game to prepare it for the DLC.
The release date of Forsaken is set for September 4 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We already know exactly when the related update will be released, although we do not yet have full patch notes.
