Matt Groening aims for light and laughter in the dark
Disenchantment is the first new series of the creator of The Simpsons since Futurama and the 90 second trailer too Netflix's animated fantasy comedy was unveiled on Saturday at the San Diego Comic-Con.
In the medieval kingdom of Dreamland mine-comedy by a drunken princess named Bean (19459005) Abbi Jacobson), her serious elf friend Elfo (Nat Faxon) and her literal personal demon Luci (Eric Andre), with ogres, Sprites, Harpies, Imps and different people agree. As you'll see in the trailer, Bean is not thrilled to marry a dumb prince at the behest of her father, the king (John DiMaggio), so she decides to be a runaway bride and find herself. "What's that feeling I do not want to drink away?" She asks. "That's hope," replies Elfo.

Jacobson recently told EW that the show is not only "really relevant and about much of what is happening today "is. it does not sound like a stereotypical fairytale story. "I like the fact that she's an anti-stereotyped princess," she said. "It's not what a normal princess story is – not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's a really strong female figure that I'm obviously excited about."
Disenchantment also includes Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten and Rich Fulcher Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery. All 10 episodes of the first season begin on 17 August.
