Succession of DJI's flagship Mavic drone has been an open secret lately, but it seems that premature publication of an ad has revealed the final details. The latest issue of the UK catalog Argos spit out almost everything but pricing, and drone fans quickly shared the ad online. The biggest surprise is that the Mavic 2 will be available in two different models, Pro and Zoom.
Interestingly, DJI has designed the two Mavic 2 models to have their own strengths and meet specific needs, rather than creating a single drone. The Mavic 2 Zoom is supposed to contain a 2x optical zoom lens (24mm – 48mm) while the Mavic 2 Pro has a Hasselblad camera with a 1 "sensor but no zoom.
Both models are said to be 31
The biggest missing detail is of course the pricing. The existing Mavic Pro drone will cost around $ 1,100, but it is clear that these two new models will be sold or replaced alongside. DJI was originally scheduled to launch a launch event earlier this month, but it has been abruptly delayed with no update since then. The appearance of the Mavic 2 in the catalog could mean that the debut of the drone is imminent, or that it should come right after the canceled start event, but was not drawn in time.
