DJI's new gimbal is almost half as heavy as the Ronin-S

Paul Pan, Senior Product Manager of DJI, said:

"The Ronin SC has transformed the powerful technology of the Ronin-S into a lighter and smaller form factor and now users can combine their mirrorless system with a stabilizer Easier to carry, easier to set up, easier to use, and yet equipped with powerful features and technology. "

The lighter form factor has some drawbacks ̵

1; the Ronin-SC can carry up to 4.4 pounds and can last up to 11 hours while the Ronin-S has a payload of 8 pounds and a battery life of 12 hours. However, the model has new design features, including better balancing capability and a new position assurance system. There are two new modes available via the Ronin app that the heavier siblings do not offer.

The new Force Mobile mode synchronizes the movement of the gimbal with an iOS device for an impressive movie experience. Meanwhile, in the new ActiveTrack 3.0 mode, you can choose a theme to follow the gimbal. You can even select human subjects, as the system's new algorithms include deep learning and optimized human figure calculations. The other modes are: virtual joystick (adds virtual control), time lapse, motion lapse, motion control (allows you to set unique motion paths by selecting up to 10 different points) and panorama.

You can check the official page of the device to see if your mirrorless camera is compatible. The gimbal itself is now available on the DJI website and in stores. For the Essentials Kit you will receive $ 439, for the Pro Bundle with additional accessories $ 539.
