Google's nest branch was quite common in the news this past week. We've heard of Nest Mini and the migration of Nest accounts to Google has begun. Among other things, this leads to a loss of IFTTT support and confusing design behavior. With Nest in Mind and Nest products in so many of our homes, I'm curious how many of our readers are using Nest devices.
Nest is currently about more than just smart cameras and thermostats. Back in May, Google announced that "home" products were renamed "Nest," and while the older, wizard-equipped smart speakers escaped this fate, even the existing Home Hub may have been renamed "Google Nest Hub." You can also have a Nest product at home without an intelligent security system.
However, if you choose the Assistant-integrated smart home ecosystem, there are plenty of Nest brand niche hardware. Although the nest thermostat and indoor / outdoor nests cameras are known almost everywhere among our readers, there is also a temperature sensor and a smoke detector.
For this survey, let's just keep things simple and consider only products that are explicitly labeled as "nests" ̵
