Beats just announced the Solo Pro, the company's first active noise canceling headphone. It is similar to the company's current wireless on-ear headphone, the Solo3 Wireless, but has the Apple's H1 chip (the same one used in the latest AirPods for easy pairing with any Apple device), a Lightning Charging Port and Active Noise – Abort and Transparency Mode.
The Beats Solo Pro Noise Canceling Headphones cost $ 300 and are available in six different colors: Black, Ivory, Gray, Dark Blue, Light Blue, and Red. They can be pre-ordered and will ship on October 30th.
According to Beats, the Solo Pro headphones outperform the Solo3 Wireless in every respect: they sound better, thanks to improved drivers that deliver "exceptional low frequency response" harmonic distortion. "The redesigned earpieces keep outside noise away, even when the ANC is off. A pair of beamforming microphones and an updated speech recognition accelerometer support the Solo Pro in call clarity and speech recognition (which is important for "Hey Siri" commands).
On the noise cancellation front panel, the Solo Pro headphones offer the same "Pure Adaptive Noise Canceling" (Pure ANC) features as the company's over-ear noise canceling headphones, the Studio3 Wireless (350 US -Dollar). When wearing headphones, the user can switch between the ANC and transparency modes using a button on the side of the headset.
Beats claims that the Solo Pro can get up to 22 hours of battery life with the ANC or transparency mode turned on or off for up to 40 hours with both modes. Another noteworthy feature: The Beats Solo Pro headphones do not have a power switch. To turn it on, you have to unfold it. To turn them off, fold them back into a compact form factor.
It is worth noting that the Solo Pro has the same audio sharing feature as all other Apple and Beats headphones with the Apple W1 and H1 chipsets (Solo Pro, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Studio3 Wireless, Solo3 Wireless, BeatsX and Powerbeats3 Wireless). In this way, two wireless headphones can be paired with the same iPhone or iPad so that different people can hear the same sound. During audio playback, Solo Pro users can still enable and disable Pure ANC and Transparency modes.
With these new headphones, Beats uses everything an Apple company has to offer. The Solo Pro headphones contain the best parts of Apple's popular AirPods (or Powerbeats Powers wireless earphones) and give them a beats feel (which means their distinctive sound and colorful design). They also appeal to anyone who dislikes over-ear headphones but likes the look and feel of Beats headphones, a first-class on-ear alternative. Save $ 70 with Master & Dynamic Wireless Headphones
