The all-star starter Cody Bellinger launched his 27th of the season, albeit with a support from David Dahl in midfield left Dahl jumped and threw the ball in the second inning accidentally over the fence. Max Muncy followed in the evening with the first of two homers – he also went deep into the seventh. In the fifth round Alex Verdugo and Justin Turner met each other.
Buhler, who had delivered a masterpiece from 16 games against the Rocky Mountains last week, gave seven runs with 13 hits on one and four.
Kenley Jansen has stranded two runners on base in a scoreless ninth race for his 24th run of the season and the fourth run in a row.
