"Does he know what holding is?"

Since who won against Bolles in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he had 26 punishments (16 accepted) in 34 career games, four of which were lost in the second week, two of which were accepted, and while neither was as influential as the flag on Chubb, the offensive lineman leads the NFL in the imposition of fines On the question of his flag magnetism Bolles blamed his reputation and said the officials would follow him:

It was frustrating. I made a name for myself in this league. I do not agree, to be honest. There are some calls that I disagree with, and there are some things that I understand. […] That was just unfortunate that they keep chasing after me, but that's what it is. As I said, I do not agree with some of them.

The brass of his team does not share the same view. John Elway, GM of the Broncos, went on the radio on Monday and called Bolles. He asked if the player knew what holding means ( Transcript via ESPN ):

"Well, it has to stop. Period. There are no more excuses for it. He has had 26 penalties in the last two years and in two games, so it has to stop. The bottom line is, if he thinks he's picked out, it's him. He has to understand that. He needs to understand what he is doing. And that was my question [Sunday]: "Does he know what participation is?" Does he know what he can and can not do? "If he thinks he's under attack, he'll have to realize he's not under attack, we'll keep working on it, and he's still a talented guy, he can not do that because it beats us."

Like ESPN Bolles would probably not be the starting signal for the team if other linemen were healthy. The injury of Ja'Wuan James has forced Elijah Wilkinson, the logical replacement of Bolles, to find the right point of attack for James. Things could not get better this week as Denver has to travel to Lambeau to play the surprisingly fearsome Packers defense on Sunday.
