It seems almost certain that Al Horford, like Kyrie Irving, will leave the Boston Celtics as soon as the free agency is opened.
But could the Celts find a way to keep Horford close?
According to reports, the Celtics are serious about persecuting Charlotte Hornet's security guard Kemba Walker, a deal that would absolutely soften the blow of an Irving farewell. Such news has led some to wonder if the landing would help Walker's Boston in a recent attempt to coax Horford into a new signing. A fan offered this question to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, who had a rather simple answer.
In fact, it seems that Horford's re-signing is a longshot at this point. And though his loss to the Celtics is not easy to swallow, dividing lines would help them move the franchise in a different, younger direction.
