Dolly Parton's younger brother Floyd died this week.

Floyd Estel Parton, 61, of Sevierville, Tennessee, died on December 6 reported his family.

Parton, himself a songwriter and composer, was remembered in his obituary as a "renaissance man," an avid outdoor man and an incredible cook.

He wrote "Rockin & # 39; Years," recorded by his sister and Ricky Van Shelton, and "Nickels and Dimes," about which George Burns once reported.

Another of his sisters, Stella Parton, tweeted a photo of a couple in their younger days on the day of his death.
