Don Cheadle, who hosted "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, made fashion statements in the NBC program.

The Oscar nominee closed the show in a jersey of the Soviet Union with "Trump" and the number "45" on the back.

"Many thanks to (musical guest) Gary Clark Jr., Mr. Alec Baldwin, Wow, what a week, what a week," said the first-time host. "You guys were great, thanks."

Twitter noticed the "Black Monday" actor.

"Don Cheadles hockey jersey at the end of #SNL …" One user commented with several wide-spread emojis.

Another User documented his way of thinking:

"Why does Don Cheadle wear a CCCP jersey (he turns) OHHHH I GET IT" they tweeted.

Some on the Twitter page were tickled.

"OMG HE WEARS A TRUMPF SOVIET UNION HOCKEY JERSEY I (The) One Person Shared and added a Giggling Shirley Temple GIF.

Earlier in the evening, Cheadle also wore a shirt that read "PROTECT TRANS KIDS" during the launch of Clark Jr., a celebrated move.

"Thank you, Don Cheadle, for using your platform to save lives," a user commented .

"Your shirt fills my heart" wrote another .
