President Donald Trump celebrated the six-month anniversary of his $ 1.5 trillion tax cuts on Friday, culminating in "unleashing an economic miracle."
Trump spoke to a White House on Friday on the occasion of the six-month anniversary of tax cuts that come into effect in the ninth year of an economic expansion begun under President Barack Obama.
Trump mistakenly called the cuts the "biggest" in history, although his reforms in the early 1980s ranked behind President Ronald Reagan's tax cuts after World War II.
The bill sees generous tax cuts for businesses and the richest Americans and more modest Cuts for individuals and families with middle and low income.
Trump's comments came after Speaker of the House Paul Ryan called the administration's tariffs "basically tax" on Tuesday ̵

"One of the reasons why we have implemented tax reforms was to facilitate companies overseas production in America," Ryan said.
He acknowledged that some countries are exploiting their trading partners, but said that there are ways other than tariffs to deal with it.
"There are unfair trade practices, not two options other countries. I think it is in our interest to use other tools to stop these unfair trading practices, dumping, cheating and stealing from other countries … but I think there are better tools than tariff increases, "Ryan said in one rare split the White House.
