Donna Brazile said on Wednesday in Outnumbered that MP Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the "new Tabasco in the Democratic Party sauce," arguing that she brings bold ideas into the discussion.
The panel discussed the New York Congressman's recent criticism of what she called Joe Biden's "Middle of the Road" climate change policy.
Biden resigned during a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

"You never heard me say in the middle of the street," he said.
"I've never been in the middle of the road in the environment. Tell them you'll find that no one is as committed to the environment and a green revolution as I am."
Brazile said Ocasio-Cortez was "really hot "in terms of political conversation, specifically their Green New Deal proposal.
"When I say hot, I'm referring to putting some elements into our political gumbo, some ingredients that people will like, and some that they will not like," she said.
But Brazile said she does not see Biden as a "middle-of-the-roader" when it comes to the environment as the Obama administration supports the Paris Climate Agreement.
She said Biden must have his Demonstrate vision on climate change as Beto O Rourke and Jay Inslee have done.

Matt Schlapp, Chairman of the American Conservative Union, said he views Ocasio-Cortez as the party's "responsible" person when it comes to climate change.
"It set the conditions under which Democrats will run for president on this Green New Deal. It started here, "he said.
