A few days ago, Windows Central reported that Ben Irving, the main producer of Anthem, is leaving BioWare. This was seen by many as a massive blow as he openly discussed plans for the future and communicated with players dissatisfied with the title. It looks, however, as if the departures have not subsided.
Today, PC Gamer reported that BioWare has experienced another loss. The store added, "Fernando Melo, lead producer of BioWare's new Dragon Age game, has left the studio after Anthem lead producer Ben Irving stepped out the front door."
Melo has been with BioWare for over a decade and he was the senior producer for titles like Dragon Age 2. He has a wealth of experience and it seems like the team is losing a very talented person. It's unclear what Melo's future plans are, but we wish him every success in every project he takes on the line. Hopefully the development of Dragon Age 4 will not suffer from this deviation.
