While the Coronavirus has postponed Broadway shows and eagerly delayed albums, it can’t (now) stop Dua Lipa. First she publishes the quarantine anthem “Don’t Start Now” with the social distance positive chorus “Don’t show up, don’t come out, don’t start taking care of me now”. Earlier this week Dua Lipa announced that she would release her second album. Future nostalgia, March 27th, a whole week earlier than originally planned. Now her latest single “Break My Heart”
“I want to stay at home because I am better on my own,” she sings in the catchy chorus and fully adheres to Governor Cuomo’s PowerPoint presentation. However, Dua slips because of a boy and eventually breaks the social distancing protocol, only to regret it immediately afterwards. “I should have stayed at home,” she sings next time, regretting her decision not to obey Daddy Cuomo and venture into the world beyond. Don’t make the same mistake that Dua Lipa made: stay home and listen to her song “Break My Heart”.
