"Edge Screen" app mimics Galaxy S8, S9 and Note 8 feature

Samsung's flagship smartphones have been supplied with curved displays for several years, and as part of that Samsung has the "Edge Screen" feature on its flagship devices … well, if you like this feature, you're in luck, like You can use it on any phone now, well, somehow. An app called "Edge Screen" or the full name "Edge Screen: Sidebar Launcher & Edge Music Player" is available in the Google Play Store and offers features similar to Samsung's Edge Screen feature.

This application is free in the Play Store, and much like the Edge Screen feature on Samsung's phones, you can wipe the edges of your display to access Edge Panels. It's worth noting that Samsung's "Edge Screen" feature does not necessarily require phones to play curved displays because you can wipe off the edge of any display like the Galaxy S8, S9, and so on. In any case, the Edge Screen app has a number of edge panels, including Apps Edge, People Edge, Quick Tool Edge, Edge softkey, Calendar Edge, Screenshot Edge, and File Explorer Edge. For example, with Quick Tool Edge, you can make some quick adjustments, such as: B. WLAN, Bluetooth, airplane mode, etc. on and off. The Edge softkey, on the other hand, allows you to replace the phone's hardkeys with a softkey panel, while the screenshot edge allows you to basically record your screen.

Now, on top of all these edge panels, the developer is also planning to introduce some additional ones, such as Weather Edge, Drive Edge, Dropbox Edge and Flashlight Edge. It is not yet known when all these new edge panels will be released, but it seems that they will reach the app soon enough. To access edge panels in the edge screen app, swipe left or right while closing edge panels by tapping anywhere outside of them. There are a number of options in the settings of this app, so you will be able to tweak it a bit.
