Tesla's firmware version 10 (V10) is in sight and will be delivered to the owners in August, according to CEO Elon Musk. After the results of the company's early-access program from V10 have been evaluated and handled, a comprehensive version of the firmware will follow.
"Depending on how the release is made to early-access owners, but hopefully a full release by the end of August" Musk responded on Twitter to a question regarding the availability of V10.
Several forthcoming V10 features have been unveiled by Musk on Twitter, including new games, infotainment features, autopilot behavior improvements on highways, and better traffic lights and stops character recognition and Smart Summon (previously Enhanced Summon). Also mentioned was a feature called "Joe Mode," which would lower the volume of autopilot alerts and notifications by half. Musk also found that some infotainment features will require a premium connectivity package.

In the same conversation about The release of V10 informed Musk about the support of the manufacturer of electric cars for video streaming in the car while connected to WiFi.
