Not everyone who loves the Marvel Cinematic Universe thinks so Avengers: Endgame is a perfect film that has exceeded all expectations of the box office. The biggest problems still arise in the opinion of fans about the time travel robbery and the number of plot holes in it.
Nobody can travel through time like the Russians tried without having a few things that didn’t quite stand up to the test. While some are still arguing about time travel rules that are in Endgame made sense of the Marvel universe, others think it caused additional and unnecessary confusion.
Who is really right here? The starting point is the opinion of fans on social media, where trying to figure out the time travel complications is like breaking down a complicated physics equation.
What was the original intent of the MCU time travel rules?
As someone recently recalled in a thread about Reddit, the Russians originally wanted all time travel to affect neither the present nor the future. The plot hole is that Captain America is going back in time and changing the current and future timeline or the official version of the latter.
Some minds refrain from keeping time travel rules consistent, as the Russians had promised. On the other hand, it is also related to their theory that trips into the past also create alternative timelines.
Do both happen at the same time or was there really a consistent schedule after the time travel robbery occurred? Based on a few more explanations, Steve Rogers might have made a little more time travel to catch up on the present on the famous park bench.
All of this is explained by a little logic: Steve / Cap could never be as old as he is if he stays in the main timeline from the 1940s.
The age of Steve Rogers / Cap is off the charts

Radio Times took the trouble last year to calculate how old Steve really is Endgame. Some claim that he is 117 years old at the point when he appears in 2023. Another calculation would make him technically older (183 to be exact) if he lived after the resurrection from the ice in the 2010s and then lived out his life started in the 40s.
All of this suggests that Steve was doing a little more time travel than just living his life in linear time. The thought is that he lived linearly with Peggy Carter until her death. Then he jumped ahead by 2023, if not earlier.
More realistically, he should have done something to extend his time with Peggy, since he probably wouldn’t be over 100 years old. Well, unless the Super Soldier Serum Cap made him live longer than the average person.
Much of it is a mystery and may be explained later. If so, the time travel rules applied by the Russians have two different schedules.
The multiverse will expand all time travel concepts
The time travel emerges from all the information Endgame will not be its last use. With the new Disney + series, Loki, The audience has the opportunity to see the title character on time travel to important events.
In addition, the multiverse is now being opened up, creating scenarios in which numerous alternative universes take place. Coming series What happened if…? plunge deep into this niche if it’s an animated series.
Perhaps the whiteboard with which the Russians depicted their entire time travel saga is still somewhat incomplete. Without a doubt, fans saw only half of what would come later without seeing Doctor Strange’s proclamation of 14,000,605 futures.
By simply introducing the multiverse, any kind of time travel action hole can easily be explained as a visit to the past, creating a new timeline. However, Cap was one exception and stuck to the basic time travel theories that most physicists and the general public can understand in basic terms.
