Update 5: The playground mode will not start in Fortnite this week. Epic announced that it will not start until next week, with additional details on Monday, July 2nd. In a tweet it said, "We still can not solve problems that will prevent the launch. We hold the release until next week to keep hammering this weekend. We are sorry that we are not in The LTM and we know the wait is the worst. "
Update 4: Fortnite's Playground mode is unavailable the day after it returns. Epic says progress is being made, but it tries to avoid accelerating it. "We continue to test our matchmaking improvements and are still aiming to open the Playground LTM as soon as we are convinced of our improvements," says Reddit. "Once we have confirmed that our tests have been successful, we will gradually distribute the servers across all regions and platforms until they are available to all players."
Subsequently, Epic said on Twitter that "further improvements are needed, which are required to activate the Playground LTM." We did not get another word about where things are with Playground, but the other new time mode next to this update ̵
Update 3: Epic's latest news does not change the expected return of Fortnite's Playground mode, but it does not pretend its release is imminent. An update to the same Reddit post states, "We continue to test improvements to our matchmaking services for the Playground LTM, we want to get you out of it and release your creativity, but also make positive experiences, re-enable this game mode you more updates and a timeline as soon as we have one. "Whether the mode is online again today remains to be seen.
Update 2: Epic has released another update on the status of Fortnite: Battle Royale's new Playground mode. Reddit said, "Yesterday we launched the Playground LTM, so many of you rushed to create and play that our matchmaking service fell down, we disconnected the Playground Matchmaker from that, We've made major improvements to support the number of players, and we plan to bring those changes and improvements later to bring the Playground LTM back online, giving you more updates and a schedule as soon as we do have one. " We'll get back to you when more details are shared, but that means we can expect to get into playground mode today, June 28, during US time. For now, you can watch the new challenges of Week 9, which are now live.
Update: After launching, the Playground mode will not be available in Fortnite. The launch of the 4.5 update saw some serious technical issues with Battle Royale, making matchmaking work in all modes for a while. These have since been resolved, but Epic quickly removed Playground from the rotation and still needs to say exactly when it will be back.
The company's latest statement came in the US on Wednesday night. In a post on the Fortnite Reddit they said, "We know you want to get back to the Playground LTM, we have several teams working to get that mode back in your hands so you can give your imagination free rein Let them know that the Playground LTM will be closed for nighttime repairs. More information is available [Thursday]. "We'll get back to you with full details of when Playground will come back. The original story follows .
Fortnite's latest update, version 4.5, is now available on all platforms. In addition to introducing a new weapon and other features for Battle Royale and Save the World, this marks the beginning of the game's newest timed Playground game – even though the mode was temporarily offline at the time. Unlike earlier time-limited modes, Playground is supposed to be a "gravure environment" that behaves like a private server. It allows players to explore the map, develop strategies and play freely with up to three friends, with no risk of being eliminated by other players.
Each round in the playground takes an hour and the storm circle does not start Close on the map until 55 minutes into the game. Friendly Fire is activated, though players will respawn immediately if they are not eliminated by the storm. There is also much more loot to be found. 100 llamas will appear on the map and players will receive 10 times the normal amount of resources collected during the game.
Playground is not the only time-limited mode available in Fortnite this week. Final Fight Teams of 12 also runs in Battle Royale. This mode unfolds like a standard Battle Royale game; The storms, however, stop closing by a game. Once the circles are closed, a final countdown timer begins, with the remaining teams competing for the most-surviving player when time runs out.
Epic has not announced an end date for 12 or 12 pitches or Final Fight teams Fortnite's limited time modes are usually only available for about a week, though it remains to be seen if Playground will stay in the rotation a little longer than usual to compensate for downtime. More details on each mode can be found in the patch notes on the official Fortnite website (below).
Epic has not yet provided a schedule for re-enabling Playground mode. The mode was taken offline due to a matchmaking issue that occurred after the rollout of Update 4.5. This problem has since been solved, but Epic says it is "continuing" to bring Playground back online. The developer will provide more updates on Fortnite's status website.
