Just a day before the news that Miranda Lambert and Turnpike troubadour singer Evan Felker gave it up, Felkers former wife Staci Nelson defended him on social media.
Although she had previously talked about her alleged mistreatment by her ex-wife – Nelson issued a passionate defense after an Instagram commentator urged her to "remove all pictures of this crawler."
"Evan Felker will never be anyone to me, his friends, family or fans," Nelson wrote about Felker, 34, who was charged with "ghosting" and blinded his then-estranged spouse with a sudden divorce filing in mid-February, one said Source in April to PEOPLE.
"I was hurt and I appreciate the support, but I will never wish for bad things for this man or the Turnpike Troubadours," Nelson continued. "It does not matter what happened ̵
Several sources have acknowledged that Lambert and Felker's relationship flared up after opening his band for three dates on their Livin & # 39; Like Hippies Tour in early February. PEOPLE has also confirmed that the Turnpike Troubadours have dropped out of their recent performances of Lambert's The Bandwagon Tour. Days later, Lambert, 34, revealed she is "happy single" in an interview The Tennessean released on Friday.
Nelson, who has yet to publicly comment on her ex-Husbands separation from Lambert showed in social media how she spent her weekend. "Love is sometimes a tough road and it was a roller coaster ride for me, but I'm definitely grateful for all the ups and downs because I've released some really good songs of it," said Lambert The Tennessean . "You have to take the bad parts and put them on paper and then move on to the lucky parts."
Lambert and Felker were last discovered in late July when they were photographed in front of their eyes in New York City

Lambert is recently in a rare interview with HITS Daily Double about heartbreak – and breaking hearts – while discussing her emotional album The Weight of These Wings .
