Former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn's wife said that her husband is in poor health following an almost four-month stay in a Japanese prison cell during an exclusive interview on FOX Business Monday.
"He lost 10 pounds. Is he alright and is he imprisoned for 120 days? You can not be physically fit if you only eat a bowl of rice and are under all this tension, "she told Maria Bartiromo after reporting that Carlos had kidney failure.
"When I saw him, his hands were very yellow, as if he had jaundice. There was no sunlight. I was very worried about him. You know, Carlos ̵
Carlos Ghosn was arrested for the fourth time earlier this month for financial misconduct and remains in prison until at least April 22, denying any wrongdoing.
Carole Ghosn described the harsh conditions her husband suffers during his imprisonment. Apart from the fact that he may not have a lawyer, he is kept in solitary confinement, with the light always on, without a clock.
"They want to abuse [mentally] him, disorient him," she said. "And he has a shower twice a week, and he'll lock up on the weekends and he can not come out until Monday." He can not even walk for half an hour on the roof to get some daylight and fresh air, and they give the food under … the door.

Carole was also questioned by the prosecutors about her husband's alleged financial misconduct. She said her husband was innocent and will stand by him.
