Tilray CEO Brendan Kennedy said he expects further strategic investment in the burgeoning marijuana industry.
As The cannabis industry is maturing, Kennedy sees it more as consumer goods or pharmaceuticals than goods.
"At first glance, one may judge companies in the industry based on farming or growing a commodity product, that's really not what the industry will look like in five years," Kennedy said. "People will drink cannabis instead of a beer … they can eat a product in the form of a chocolate bar or an edible or consume a pill."
"Here's the value, it's the intellectual property of these other form factors and other delivery mechanisms," Kennedy said.
