ORLANDO, Fla. ̵
Sunday morning is mostly sunny with warm temperatures. The heat will be felt throughout Central Florida, with heat indices around 101 degrees until the afternoon. Although Invest 98L continues to move away from Florida, we can expect the last burst of energy on Sunday afternoon to trigger a few storms before Florida is completely abandoned. The highest chance of receiving a few showers with one or two embedded storms is between 16:00 and 22:00. and 18.00, probably in places in the interior.
The Sunday evening stays warm, but rain-free.
Invest 98L could become a tropical system early next week. Hurricane hunters did not investigate the area, as it was overland on Saturday, but it moves northeast across the Atlantic and they could fly off to fly in on Sunday afternoon. We will inform you about all the relevant information you receive when you leave the mission.
It is not predicted that this will directly affect a region of the US. This storm will only lead to rough surf along the Carolina coast as it strengthens and moves over water.
The tropics were expected to get busier and busier as we approach the heart of the season. As a rule, between August and October, more than 80 percent of tropical activities are carried out in the Atlantic.
Mostly stable on Sunday in Central Florida.
Single Storms (4p & 6p) # Invest98 moves away from the country. #Dorian moves towards the Caribbean, a very hostile area for its survival – wind shear, dry air and, if anything, the Dominican mountains https://t.co/4VqEcUVu2B pic.twitter.com/z7xt0HXnQA – Irene Sans (@IreneSans) 25 August 2019

WATER TEMPERATURES AND WAVE HEIGHT
Although this system may be enhanced, the gain window is very short. It is surrounded by Sahara dust and dry air. As soon as it enters the Caribbean, wind shear will increase, which is likely to really affect the likelihood of it getting stronger.
WILL PUERTO RICO AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC BE INFLUENCED?
With increasing wind shear, the chances of this system becoming a hurricane are reduced. Currently, the forecast track predicts that the storm will pass about 50 miles southwest of the community of Boqueron over the southwestern corner of Puerto Rico.
It is currently unknown if there will be any direct impact on Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic. The error rate is after 3-4 days over 120 miles . This can make a big difference if you do not have an impact.
List of names for the Atlantic Hurricane Season 2019
This is a relatively minor storm; tropical storm winds extend outward 25 miles from its center. Considering that it will invade a heavily sheared Caribbean, this system could be significantly weakened before it even approaches Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico and many of the Caribbean islands can use the rain, hopefully they will not be accompanied by winds and torrents, but after an El Niño phase, there were some areas that were very dry and under a drought.
Viewers wondered if this system could threaten Florida. It's too far to know that. Given that there will be major problems in the Caribbean, and then likely reach the high mountains in the Dominican Republic, this system is unlikely to be a major tropical threat to Florida.
We will continue to monitor the tropics and provide you with the latest information on Eyewitness News and our free WFTV Weather App.
direct impact on #PuertoRico #DominicanRepublic we are still 4 days before it even comes to the Caribbean. Many factors to consider, especially wind shear and much dry air / Saharan dust that could trap them >> https://t.co/H3hiwOr8Uv pic.twitter.com/LzcwPtec10
