Facebook once again tinkers with the newsfeed, but that should be surprising given the feedback it receives every time it changes. One of the most important aspects of the social network, the newsfeed, is to connect people to what they consider most relevant.
Although Facebook has repeatedly said in the past that it does not matter how much time people spend on Facebook, but the quality of time spent. Because of this principle, Facebook announced a new round of optimizations of the newsfeed.
After conducting a series of surveys last year to ask people which contributions they think were worth their time, Facebook has decided to update the news feed accordingly. The updated newsfeed should contain links that you think are worthwhile by Facebook.
These changes appear to be phased in. But you probably will not notice it, says Facebook. There is no deadline when these changes need to be implemented, but they are likely to be introduced in the coming weeks.
