Fallout 76 is a completely different Fallout game with a new focus on multiplayer in a huge open world. Bethesda is testing it with a beta test that will be released very soon, and you can join to research the waste and gather technical feedback before the official launch. While the pre-order is your beta ticket, it's not necessarily quick. Find out everything about the beta here.
When does the beta begin?
The beta for Fallout 76 will begin on October 23 on the Xbox One and will be extended to PC and PlayStation 4 the following week on October 30 -loading for the Xbox One version is now available. The first session on Xbox One will begin at 23:00 ET / 4 PM PT and end on 23 October at 23:00 ET.
Even if you have received a code, you are not necessarily invited to the first wave. Bethesda plans to start small to test and slowly expand the game so that your actual start date can vary.
A separate pre-beta stress test also took place on October 1
How long will the beta last?
Bethesda has not specified a specific end date for the beta, but that has stated The servers are not available around the clock during the beta phase. The studio says there will be "targeted timelines" to force interested players together at the same time, which in turn will mark a better technical test. The game can be available on any day for 4-8 hours, with Bethesda having to make adjustments and corrections during downtime. This process will be repeated until a few days before the start on November 14th.
How do I get in?
The beta will be available exclusively to those who pre-order the game on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Digital pre-orders are automatically entered into the pool, while physical pre-orders receive a code to access the account page once the beta is available on your platform of choice.
It is important to note that this code is not the beta code you enter to access the actual game download. Instead, the pre-order code is the one you enter into the Bethesda system to put it in the pool for code distribution. A separate code that gives you access to the installation will follow later, while Bethesda will deliver his invitations.
In the meantime, you can be sure you are prepared by creating a free Bethesda.net login. Also, make sure that you have an active Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership when playing on either console as they are required to access the online only game.
Is the beta the full game?
The beta version of Fallout 76 is full of experience, and Bethesda says it is currently planned to allow players to progress into the full game. However, console players need to re-download the startup version, while PC players do not need to download a new version at startup. The beta will be 45 GB.
How do I submit feedback?
Bethesda invites feedback on his various social media channels.
What else do I get for the pre-order?
Aside from the beta access, pre-order brings you 500 atoms – Fallout 76's currency in the game. Atoms allow you to buy cosmetic items from the shop. Bethesda has hinted that atoms will be abundant, but since we have not seen the store or the prices yet, it's hard to say how far 500 atoms will go.
