The father of Kierra Coles, a postal worker who disappeared last October. I urge everyone to provide information about cases of missing persons in the area.
Coles was last seen on a surveillance video when she left her home near 81st and Vernon in the neighborhood of Chatham. She was pregnant at the time and should be expected in April.
The police had previously suspected that Coles had disappeared.
Joseph Coles said police have no further clue to finding his daughter, but he declined to give up.
"I think my daughter is still alive," said Joseph Coles on Monday at Daley Plaza.
There is a reward of $ 46,000 for information that leads to their whereabouts. Anyone with information about Coles is kindly requested to call Area South Special Victims Unit at (31
LaShann Walker does not give up either. Her mentally handicapped daughter, Diamond Bynum, was missing from her home in Gary, Indiana, with her 2-year-old nephew King Walker nearly four years ago.
At that time, it was believed that Bynum had migrated and got lost.
"My world has just been turned upside down," said LaShann Walker. "Sometimes I Feel Alone."
The sister-in-law of Stacy Peterson, a Bolingbrook mother who disappeared almost 12 years ago, spoke about it on Monday.
Peterson was 23 years old. She was missing in 2007. Her husband, the former Bolingbrook Police Sgt. Drew Peterson was a suspect, but he was never charged. He is spending time killing his former wife, Kathleen Savio, and attempting to assassinate Will County Attorney James Glasgow.
Stacy Peterson's family still wants to find their remains. Norma Peterson has been a domestic violence lawyer ever since. It helps to promote what is known as the affidavit for proven abuse created after the disappearance of Peterson.
"It allows victims to document their abuse so they can let people know what was going on with them then," Norma Peterson said.
