Do you remember what it felt like when you paired ice cream or oreos with milk for the first time? Absolutely lucky, right? Sometimes two things come together and create such magic that one wonders how one got through without putting them together first.
That's exactly how the fans are about Adele and Beyoncé.
People have absolutely lost it since the frontman of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder, announced that a collaboration between Beyoncé and Adele is planned. But now it seems like the singer was just kidding.
What did Ryan Tedder say about Beyoncé and Adele?
It all started when Tedder talked to Z100 New York at the Global Citizen Festival over the weekend. He told the broadcaster that his new album would include a song with Beyoncé, Adele and Coldplay's Chris Martin.
"We have a song with Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge," he told Z100 New York of the singers and Coldplay frontman.
Obviously, the people with this information were absolutely crazy. It was as if the song gods smiled at the world and provided a perfect mix of artists.
Tedder's Cruel Joke
After a weekend of preparing for his dreams of the upcoming epic song, the fans were disappointed to learn this. It was a joke.
On Monday, Tedder went to his Instagram story to clear things up.
"Three of my favorite things: absurdity, joke, joke," Tedder wrote with the dictionary definitions of the words.
"Journalist: Any cool collaborations on the next @ onerepublic album?" Wrote Tedder. "I use sarcasm, jokes and a joke at the same time. Yes, we have a song with Beyonce, Adele and Chris Martin, but I do not want to talk about it or tell too much. "
Then he published a screenshot of some of the articles written about the alleged upcoming song.
" Come on, people, "he said.
Even though it may not be in work "Tedder is ready for cooperation."
"Anything said, would not that be a [fire] collaboration?" He said. "I would stream it.
Needless to say, the fans were not too happy when Tedder shattered their dreams.
"We just found out that the collaboration between Beyoncé and Adele was a fake, and we have no chance. I have not felt betrayed since Percy Jackson discovered who the real thunderbolt is," tweeted The Lightning Thief Musical
"Why should someone joke like that and raise people's hopes?" wrote a fan . "I do not like such jokes, a joke should be funny. That's not funny. I wanted to work with Adele, Beyoncé and Coldplay. My hashtag should be #theABCsong . "
Others were concerned about the legitimacy of such a joke.
"It should be illegal to joke about a collaboration between Adele and Beyoncé," said one person tweeting.
And some even wanted to become violent with Tedder.
But some fans wondered if Tedder was actually joking or if he just had to back down after possibly breaking a confidentiality agreement.
"We get this Beyoncé x not Adele x Chris Martin collaboration. It seems like he's joking or he's broken the NDA, will pay for Blue's tuition and Beyoncé will pull the song out of the album because he ruined the surprise. "
