Murillo-Moncada left the house angrily on the night of November 28, 2009, and was reported missing by his parents. After nearly 10 years without an answer, his body was finally found and identified.
The couple finally closes after almost 10 years, but there are still questions left.
Murillo-Moncada was reported missing during a blizzard, and his parents believe he could. I was absent from his prescription drugs and in bad mood. Although a series of clues suggest what happened that night, they may never know the full truth.
"Our heads are spinning and finding this out after so many years, and it's disturbing, it's causing us a lot of pain," Murillo said.
The police believe Murillo-Moncada had gone to the store where he worked and climbed onto the refrigerators before falling into the gap between the fridges and the wall. All attempts to call for help may have been dampened by the sound of the compressors for the radiators.
Civil servants do not know how odors emanating from their decaying remains went unnoticed for years.
"They closed the building." Murillo said. "The freezers did not work anymore, so how can a corpse just be there?"
Murillo said he was going to file the papers to get his son's body back.
