The NBC News reported that the Food and Drug Administration has returned to the FDA.
The latest recall, announced Wednesday, targets 32 lots of the drug sold by Macleods Pharmaceuticals.
Losartan is a generic angiotensin II receptor blocker, or ARB, and is used to treat high blood pressure as well as heart failure. Over the past year, ARBs have been withdrawn from the market due to the presence of chemical contaminants called nitrosamines.
