Federal jurors receive a 25 percent salary increase

In these volatile economic times, a 25 percent wage increase seems like a figment of the imagination.

But that's exactly what awaits those who, after President Donald Trump, receive a bill to increase the daily installment for Juror Service from $ 40 to $ 50. The pay threshold, the first since 1990, will come into effect on May 7.

"We are particularly pleased that the Congress has recognized the critical public service that citizens, the juries, and the lawyers representing the defendants can not afford a lawyer."
