According to police, 23-year-old Duntate Young was transported to Regional One and declared dead after arriving at the hospital.
The hub is located on Block 3100 of Democrat Road.
Youngs father, Reverend Leonell Troy McClenton, described FOX13 as he learned of his son's death.
"I woke up with my daughter, she heard from a friend that he was being transported through the hospital, she had tears in her eyes and it sounded serious, and when I got it to the hospital they declared him dead," McClenton said.

Young was the father of two sons and was eager to leave work on Wednesday to celebrate his son's birthday Wednesday was.
Now family and friends mourn for Young.
Youngs father told FOX13 he wanted to know more about the details of his son's death.
McClenton said Young had been hired through a temporary employment agency and worked two months in the past during the cemetery shift at the FedEx Express World Hub on the dock.
Investigators said Young was hospitalized around 2:30 am and dead when he came to the hospital.
Police say she has no explanation for how Young died, but is looking for his cause of death.
Youngs father told FOX13 he wanted to know more about the details of his son's death and say, "We should not have to speculate … I want to know he was properly trained for the job."
FedEx has sent a statement stating:
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our team member hub at Memphis, and our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of our colleague at this difficult time We are always focused on the health and safety of our employees and are fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigations. "
Currently, the cause of death is unknown.
This is an ongoing death investigation.
