GREENSBURG, Ind. (WTHR) – Residents of the north side of Greensburg will be talking for some time about the hailstorm of 2018.
You are busy estimating the total damage on Sunday.
Fleetwood Street in Greensburg looked normal until you took a closer look.
Almost every car had hail damage and looking back on the video, residents took Saturday. You can see why.
"If you were outside, you would have been badly injured or killed, you saw how big it was, it was boom, boom, boom, pretty scary," commented Jacque Shaver.
She and her husband Eric were on their way to investigate the damage on Sunday from the Hailstone jumps in the front yard to the shattered rear window.
"I was really shocked that he was blown out of the window," Eric Shaver said
Then a neighbor, who did not want to go to the camera, left with the evidence in his hand Game had hidden in the freezer. Four Still Frozen Tennis Ball Big Hailstones
"We took a picture of Jake holding a hailstone and he's the size of a baseball, and every bit and every bit of that hit our cars and houses and everything," Barbra Wolfe added
Sunday was also an opportunity for residents to receive estimates of their damage to the roof, but this day largely proved to be an opportunity to relive the 201
"The hail came Felt like shots against the windows It was so loud that I thought please, God, do not let my windows break," Wolfe said.
None of the windows in her house had been broken, but the storm did break some skylights in the local Walmart, where at least one person has suffered minor injuries.
