The Ferrari Omologata – approved in Italian according to Google – is …
Huh, that’s a fun car name. Either way, it’s a one-off built from the 812 Superfast and it undoubtedly looks fantastic.
Here is my favorite cut from the Press release: Take a good swipe of this pomposity and you’ll be in the mood for the whole weekend:
“On behalf of a discerning European customer, Ferrari’s latest offering of one-of-a-kind touring coach-built models is a living reminder of the values that define Ferrari when it comes to GT racing: a car that is just as comfortable on the road as it is on the road hits the apex on the track in the hands of a true gentleman driver. “
By the way, that’s how I know the car is for a guy. The actual identity of the client is unknown. But it seems like he has pretty good taste because the product of his request is quite a lot.
Here are a few studio pictures:
And of course you need some shady artistic frames:
Finally, Ferrari included some interior teasers. I think only the extremely wealthy person who bought the thing and their friends are now allowed to see the whole cockpit.
This exterior color is Rosso Magma. The press release said nothing about the meaning of the number seven. A little cursory investigation shows that some Ferraris have worn this number in competition, but I’m guessing it’s mostly just there because it looks cool. If there is a deeper story, you will likely see it in the comments section if this blog has been open for a few hours anyway.
I’m one of those idiots who get upset about every Ferrari because Ferraribut I don’t think you have to be obsessed with an Italian car to appreciate the design of this thing. I mean it’s amazing. It’s a shame none of us will ever see it again beyond this pile of pictures.
