Today, on the second day of the Final Fantasy Fan Festival in Tokyo, Square Enix made a series of announcements about Final Fantasy XIV Online, including the start date for the game's crossover event with Final Fantasy XV.
The crossover event previously announced is called A Nocturne For Heroes and begins on April 16th. This message was confirmed during a "Letter From the Producer" event behind the scenes with producer Naoki Yoshida. The event will feature a range of Final Fantasy XV gear and items for FFXIV, including the very first four-player mount of the game. You guessed it, the mount is the regalia, the car the main characters drive in FFXV. Other items include FFXV equipment and a game hairstyle.
In other news, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV patch 4.56, called "A Requiem for Heroes Part 2," will be released very soon. Tuesday, March 26, it's off. Next comes Patch 4.57, which adds the new World Visit system. The start is on the 23rd of April.
In the graph below, you will find a complete timeline with key data on the major process that led to the release of Shadowbringers on July 2 (or June 28 with Early Access):
