Hicks is the 100-year-old grandmother of Jalen Rose, who was a member of Michigan's "Fab Five".
Loyola-Chicago and Michigan meet on Saturday in the Final Four. The game will be discontinued at 18:09. central (19:09 clock east). It will be televised on TBS.
"Sister Jean, it was a good ride, but it's about Saturday, go Blue," said Hicks.
The third -surbed Wolverines have survived their own bad shots to beat Florida State 58-54 and win the title in the West Region on Saturday night for their 13th win in a row. They have not lost to Northwestern since 6 February.
Loyola (32-5) made an astonishing run through the south, beating Kansas State 78-62 in the regional final to match the lowest set team ever to reach the Final Four
The Ramblers also have sister Jean.
