Danny Rand may have appeared in Luke Cage in Season 2 to help his buddy, but he has much more to do. Our first look at the upcoming new season of Marvel and Netflix Iron Fist at the Comic-Con we saw today … Surprisingly good.
The last time we saw Danny Rand, he just got his first taste of what it meant to be part of a superhero team. The first teaser for Iron Fist 's second season is all about how that experience has changed Danny. See also:
Marvel also showed a lot of new Iron Fist footage at his San Diego Comic Con Panel (which Marvel annoyingly did not publish). Con-Goers were treated to a series of scenes showing what new battle choreography Clayton Barber – the Black Panther – rejoiced for Danny, Colleen and Misty Knight. It can not be overstated how drastic an improvement is. One scene finds Danny and Davos in K & # un-Lun (in a flashback) during one of their last tests to decide which one of them is worth fighting Shou-Lao for. After putting on masks reminiscent of Iron Fist's from the comics, the two students are tied with a long belt and made to beat the everlasting hell until one of them yields. As brutal and bloody as the play is, it is also fluid and elegant in a way that feels fresh and fresh exactly as you did it by Iron Fist.
Beyond the bouts, Danny is much more of a hero than he was first, thanks to his encounter with Daredevil during The Defender's series. Marwels Jeph Loeb explained that fighting with Matt Murdock in The Defenders is ultimately what inspires Danny to use his Iron Fist skills to become a real vigilante on the streets. Although Hell of Hell's devil should not occur in the second season Iron Fist s his influence on Danny will play a major role in the storyline of the series.
It remains to be seen how the show will really improve, but the comic-con footage makes us optimistic for the new season, which premieres on September 2nd. It finally feels like Iron Fist want people to ever want to get away from this show.
