Five-star prospect Darius Bazley skips college and plans to play in the NBA G League, he told Yahoo Sports on Thursday afternoon.
Bazley, a 6-foot-8 Ohio striker, is ranked No. 9 in the ESPN 100 for the 2018 class. He signed up for Syracuse last June and signed with the Orange during the early signing period in November.
"This is a life-changing decision," Bazley told Yahoo. "After all, it has always been my dream to play professional basketball, it will always be the dream goal that will always be the goal until I reach it, and that will bring me one step closer."
"The G League will be on most have to offer, considering that this is the development league for the NBA. I will make more out of it than going abroad. The G-League is closest to the NBA.
