Recruitin g website 247Sports has Hill (recruitment profile) # 8 in the 2019 recruiting class and # 1 safety.
Hill is the fifth recruited to be sent from Michigan since the beginning of November. He was in 2019 four-star racer Eric Gray (Memphis, Tennessee) and three-star defender Tyrece Woods (Belleville, Michigan) and a pair of 2020 players. At the end of last month, Michigan also missed four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey, who would have been Jim Harbaugh's top QB recruit after Jim Luck. Bailey chose Tennessee for Michigan.
With Hill on the board, Michigan's recruitment class fell 11th nationwide in 2019 and second in the Big Ten.
