A JetBlue flight from Newark Airport to the Dominican Republic was diverted to JFK Airport on Sunday morning when a few people on board got sick and reported a strange smell.
JetBlue flight 1203 left Newark International Airport at 6am and should land at Santo Domingo by 10am, according to the airline's flight tracking.
The plane was diverted from caution to New York-JFK after the crew had reported a handful of customers and crew members "uncomfortable," said JetBlue spokesman Claudio Cruz, adding that passengers continue to fly to the Caribbean on another aircraft , Cruz said the airline did not receive reports of an unusual odor.
The incident occurred a day after a JetBlue plane had to be evacuated in Newark after a photo of a suicide vest or one of us had been seen. One was photographed by a passenger.
