The Ferns are Fifa in 19th place in the world, chasing for the first time a first World Cup victory and a place in the knockout round.
They will face Cameroon in particular, which was defeated 3-1 at the 2012 Olympics, but will probably need at least one point from the first two games to advancing.
The Ferns moved to Canada and lost at the last World Cups 2015 Netherlands.
You've already played eleventh place in Canada five times and won in 1987; draw four times, last in 2015; and lost six times.
They played seven times before in the seventh Netherlands and won once in 2009; draw twice, last in 2012; and lost four times.
The Ferns' victory over the 46th World Championship No. 46 in Cameroon was the only previous meeting of the teams.
The top two teams in each group reach the round of sixteen, four best third-placed teams.
The third-place teams with four points have advanced from 17 to 17 in each FIFA tournament that has used this format (a Women's World Cup and 12 men's age group events), and third-placed teams have advanced three points.
The footballing lights had previously qualified for four World Cups and were drawn twice in 2011 and twice in 2015, but never managed to survive the group stage.
