Former five-star quarterback Justin Fields makes the Ohio state transfer plan official

Former five-star quarterback Justin Fields moves to Ohio state. Fields announced the announcement on Twitter Friday on Twitter after several reports surfaced earlier in the day.

It has been rumored since Fields announced that Fields would switch from Georgia after his first season. Fields enrolls for the Ohio Spring Semester, allowing him to join the team in his offseason program and spring training this year. Oklahoma, the state of Florida, and UCLA were also reportedly being considered by the former five-star facility.

Ohio State may have been the relationship between Fields and Ohio's current quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Both players train with Quincy Avery, a QB coach from Atlanta.

Fields was the second largest player in the recruitment class of 201

8 according to Composite's 247Sports composite ranking, ending up behind Clemson QB's Trevor Lawrence. However, he did not win the starting job in Athens as Jake Fromm held on to the position throughout the season. Fields, however, saw some time, but appeared in 12 games. He threw 39 passes, of which 69.2 percent were done on 328 yards and four touchdowns without interruptions. He also showed his skills as a rusher and wore the ball 42 times for 266 yards and four touchdowns. With Fromm returning to another season, Fields would find it difficult to push him out of his starring role, and instead of waiting another year, decided to look elsewhere for greener pastures.

Of course, nothing guarantees Ohio State, too. Haskins has not yet publicly announced his plans for 2019, though most assume that he will attend the NFL Draft. This would likely prove Tate Martell to be the star favorite for Ohio State in 2019, especially as Fields will probably miss out on transfer rules in the 2019 season. Odds are Fields speak up, but there is no way to tell if he will win the case. The state of Ohio also has Matthew Baldwin, a four-star QB in his 2018 class, who had a redshirt this season.
