Fortnite 10.20 Patch Notes: Borderlands 3 Crossover, Shield Bubble and more

Epic Games has released another update for Fortnite. Patch 10.20 is now available across platforms, adding another new element to the Battle Royale game as usual, as well as the unexpected: a Borderlands crossover event. Here are the patch notes.

The Fortnite X Mayhem event is the most important update this week. Players can visit Borderlands by setting up Pandora through a new Rift Zone where they can create shields if they are in the area long enough without being damaged. There are also a number of challenges to master and unlock rewards with Borderlands creations, as well as a beauty package for the Borderlands Psycho Bundle, which you can buy in the game shop. This includes a folding trap that you can carry on your back. The crossover event runs until the 1

0th of September.

In addition, this week will bring a new object called Shield Bubble. As the name implies, it creates a protective bubble that lasts for 30 seconds and negates projectiles and explosives, although other players are still able to go through. The shield bladder can be found as prey on the ground or in chests, storage containers and vending machines.

The patch is rounded off by a few changes and adjustments to the balance. As Epic had already announced, the controversial BRUTE 'Mechs have finally been refined. The developer also re-activated the recently released Junk Rift object after a problem, while Storm Flip, Drum Gun and Storm Scout Sniper Rifle were all domed.

You can see all the changes and additions to Epic made for Fortnite: Battle Royale below, while the full patch notes are available on the developer site.
