2018 was the year of Fortnite . Sure, this year, people like Marvel's Spider-Man Red Dead faced Redemption 2 and God of War but the narrative was filmed throughout the year by Epic Games-Battle Royale games dominated, which took over the industry and brought more mainstream gaming than ever

And so it should come as no surprise that it is a Fortnite trailer, the most watched game trailer on YouTube has claimed in 201

8.

According to YouTube Fortnites Trailer Season 5 Announcement was the most watched trailer for video games in 2018: it posted 48.6 million views in less than six months.

Directly behind Fortnite was the official trailer of Fallout 76 which, with about 33.8 million hits, spent about the same amount of time. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games won the bronze medal with a Red Dead Redemption 2 pendant that had 27.9 eyeballs and a salivary mouth.

Rounding out the first five were two Supercell mobile games, Clash of Clans: Hammer Jam (22.3 million views) and . Clash Royale: Clan Wars (20.3 million views) in numbers four and 5.

The remainder of the top ten was in the following order: DOOM Eternal E3 teaser (number six with 13.4 million views), Minecraft Aquatic Update (number seven with 12.4 million views), League of Legends: Only one more (number eight with 12.2 million views) Views), GTA Online: After Hours (Number Nine, 10.6 Million Views) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Trailer (Number 10 with 6.4 Million Views ).

Of course, only this top ten takes into account individual followers. In other words, no views are considered that a trailer received from an unofficial account. As you may know, there are numerous YouTube channels that engage in uploading game tags that can reach millions of views. For large game events, such as E3, these channels are often the most productive. In other words, it is possible that some game trailers had more views, which only distributed to different published versions of the trailer. Anyway, no one comes to Fortnites 48 million. And considering that it was the fifth season, when the humming of the game seemed to have peaked, it makes sense that none of it is in close proximity.
