While you might be familiar with the Battle Royale genre – games that keep one player (or a small team) on a map where they fight others to be the last – Fortnite: Battle Royale is a bit different . The game adopts the genre's basic premise and adds its own twist that changes everything: you can immediately build things like walls and stairs that allow you to build fortifications to protect yourself and create your own tactical advantages.
Fortnite drops an island with 99 other players, and the last surviving player (or team) wins. Although similar to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, many small differences make Fortnite a very different experience.
