Fortnite Downtime scheduled before the Season 4 update

Season 4 by Fortnite: Battle Royale is just around the corner. Epic launches tomorrow, May 1, the next season of their popular Battle Royale game for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mobile, which is preceded by a period of downtime as the developer releases the latest update to the title.

As With earlier weekly patches, servers are taken offline early in the morning to prepare for the Season 4 update. Epic has not specified how long servers will fail, but on Twitter the developer announced that maintenance on May 1 will begin at 1am / 4am / 8am GMT.

Aside from some cryptic crazes, Epic has not yet revealed many details about Season 4, though the tweet mentioned above says, "Impact is imminent," suggesting that the huge meteor mysteriously appearing in the sky is finally collapsing becomes. Former teasers of season four warn players of "impact" and are accompanied by graphics resembling characters resembling superheroes.

Similarly, Epic has not revealed how much the Battle Season 4 battle plan will cost for Battle Royale. Earlier combat passes could only be purchased for 950 V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency in-game. Before the start of the third season, however, Epic had planned to sell the Battle Pass directly for real money, although this was sunk shortly before the start of the season.
