The Fortnite season six, week five challenges have arrived in Battle Royale and mark more than a month since the release of this scary season. In addition to the special limited time event of Fortnitemares Halloween, there are still the normal weekly challenges. The majority of the challenges this week are the setbacks of classics like the challenge of flame tires, but there's a brand new challenge.
The all-new challenge is the Fortnite radar warning. This challenge challenges players to show their driving skills in a different way. Instead of doing crazy tricks, players have to turn the pedal into metal and go as fast as they can. With the recent addition of a brand new vehicle, this challenge offers many more options for players to check out.
Fortnite Radar Signs Challenge Explained
As always, you can look up the week 5 challenges in the Battle Royale main lobby. There are a total of seven unique challenges that most experienced players are familiar with. However, the Fortnite Radar Sign Challenge is brand new and asks players to find five of these race plates and drive in one vehicle as fast as possible.
Before the sixth season, there were only two vehicle options to choose from: shopping cart and golf cart. Now we also have the recently released Quadcrasher. This off-road vehicle is completely different from its predecessors in its handling. Considering that we need to have at least a speed of 27 or more on the radar, you will definitely want this vehicle.
Also, this Fortnite Radar Warning Challenge is a free one, meaning that every Battle Royale player can complete it without needing a Season Six Battle Pass. Therefore, expect a lot of people this week. For this reason, it is best to stand the challenge in the field mode alone or with a group of friends.
Yes, the Fortnite Radar Sign Challenge is actually feasible on playgrounds without having to worry about enemies or even zombies. This eliminates the threats and gives you an hour to finish all five, which is a lot of time. Because the golf cart and quadcrasher allow teammates to ride, you can handle this challenge for more than one person at a time.
Where to Find Vehicles
Before we can master this challenge, we need a vehicle first. There are a number of places to visit, but the best places are Lazy Links, Tilted Towers and the desert racecourse near Paradise Palms. Unfortunately, these spots are pretty popular, so it's even more important that you complete this in Playgrounds.
You will not want a shopping cart because it will be really difficult to meet this challenge. Instead, you will either want the golf cart or quadcrasher. As for the places you can visit, there are actually more than five characters on the Battle Royale map. However, we will give you the five that we recommend, because of the difficulty and proximity of each other.
Fortnite Radar Signs Location: Tilted Towers
Let's start this challenge by going to Tilted Towers. This is a good place to grab a quadcrasher or golf cart to find one in the city. From there you leave the city via the western road. Follow the road north and you will see the first sign just before the gas station. Each of these signs is located on a street, so they are fairly easy to find.
To actually complete the Fortnite Radar Sign Challenge, you must travel at least 27 miles per hour. Unfortunately, the Golfcar is sold out at 26 for its maximum speed. The Quadcrasher is much easier to use as it has a boost that evolves over time. Just build up the boost and then use it as you go through the sign. However, if you can only find a golf cart, you can still do it.
Driving a golf cart will require a little more finesse. The Powerslide feature allows you to accelerate your golf cart, but it requires some skillful handling to get it through the shield. Thankfully, your timing does not have to be perfect, as the window is pretty generous for that. Use your Turbo or Powerslide and you'll be fine to go on that first radar sign.
Fortnite Radar Location: Lazy Left
From here, follow the map northeast toward Lazy Links. In fact, you can even stay on the same road as the tilted towers and continue north. It's the same road that contains the second radar sign. This is located on the road west of Lazy Links. The sign is facing east, so you want to approach it as if coming from Lazy Links.
Use the turbo boost of the quadcrasher vehicle or the tricky powerslide of the popular golf cart again. Either you will successfully tackle this second goal and get on track. From here we head east to the third radar sign.
Fortnite Radar marker Location: Tomato Temple
For this third radar sign, head southeast of Lazy and head towards Tomato Temple. This next radar sign is on the road that leads south out of the Tomato Temple and through the tunnel. The sign is on the south side of the tunnel and the mountain. The sign faces south, so you want to start south of it.
Take your vehicle and look north to the sign. When you're ready, give yourself a head start and, once again, turbo boost or powerslide your way through this radar sign. Note that the road is blocked on one side by a fence, so your space for pushing energy is somewhat limited. When you're done, get ready to head southwest to Salty Springs.
Fortnite Radar Mark Location: Salty Springs
For this fourth part of the challenge, head southwest to the end of the map for Salty Springs. The nearest radar sign is on the road leading west out of Salty Springs. Follow this road south and the sign is just next to the hill beside the road. Like the last, this sign is bounded by a fence on one side and the hill on the other side.
Therefore, we recommend that you destroy the fence (run over) so that you have a lower limit that stops you. When ready, turn north and follow the road towards the sign. Use your Turbo Boost and Powerslide your way through this sign. With that done, we only have one final radar mark to complete before we're done with this challenge.
Fortnite Radar Plates Location: Flush Factory
For this fifth and final Fortnite radar sign, drive from Salty Springs to the nearby Flush Factory. We will continue southwest to the end of the Battle Royale map. You can continue south on the same road as before and cross the bridge. From there it is just a bit more southwest. This sign is located next to the warehouses north of the Flush Factory.
The sign faces south to the factory, so you turn around and look north to the road. When you're ready to complete this challenge, get in your quadcrasher or golf cart. Use your Turbo Boost or Powerslide and drive through this last radar sign. At a speed faster than 27 miles per hour, you will complete this challenge in its entirety.
Fortnite Radar Sign Challenge Reward
Now that you've finished this Fortnite Radar Challenge sign, you're ready to receive your hard-earned reward , When you're ready to leave the matchground game, head to the main lobby. You will receive a total of five battle stars to complete all five radar symbols. This is a great reward for this challenge because it guarantees at least half of a Battlepass rank, if not a full rank.
