In the Fortnitemares v6.20 update, Epic made it possible to reuse the glider in all Fortnite game modes. This means that players can withdraw their glider at any time, provided that they were three units or higher. What was meant to be a one-week test has expanded to two, with players and celebrating the massive improvement in mobility with all their enthusiasm .
Today, however, Epic has stated that the conversion of the gliders in tomorrow's version 6.30 update will be reversed. This is limited to the modes for large team games in which it was originally designed. However, this is not necessarily the last time we can use gliders in standard solos, duos or squads. Epic claims that there is a lack of communication and speed to break down the gas: "We did not live up to the expectations of quickly revising mechanics and communicating plans."
Good enough. I'm a big fan of gliders myself. We can talk balance all day, but moving this huge map is basically fun, and I think Epic keeps that in mind. But I see how such a quick and significant change violated existing game styles too violently. As fast as Epic went through Fortnite, it had to react even more quickly to exploitative or frustrating playing styles that resulted from the ability to glide into fights or not, and did not. I'm convinced that the redistribution of gliders can work as soon as items or skills are introduced to make every jump a riskier proposition, but at least I can fly around with disco dominance as best I can and dream of a better world ,
