Following the merger of Avengers: Infinity War earlier this year, Epic Games and Disney appear to have partnered for a second film promotion in Fortnite with Ralph Breaks Internet, according to several reports. Some data mining enthusiasts found a short clip of Wreck-It Ralph in the Promotions folder, later discovered by others at Fortnite outdoor cinema Risky Reels. It shows Ralph how he gets into the frame, waves to the audience and then rushes in the other direction.
Neither Epic Games nor Disney have officially announced anything, although the timing is intended that Ralph Breaks intended the internet now plays in cinemas worldwide. In fact, the film also includes a glimpse of Fortnite after Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) arrive on the fictitious video flipping site BuzzzTube, trying to create videos on "trend" things. Wreck-It Ralph's status as a video game character himself – he's the antagonist in the fix-it Felix, Jr. early-1980s arcade game – would give this new promotion a Metaspin. In addition, popular video game characters were part of both Ralph films. Sonic the Hedgehog, Pac-Man, Bowser, Doctor Eggman, Ryu, Ken Masters and Root Beer Tapper have all been released in the original and the new 2012 sequel.
Ralph will also be present in the upcoming season's Kingdom Hearts III, appearing in January 2019, along with several other Disney characters from franchise networks such as Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., The Lion King, Frozen, Confused, Big Hero 6, Ratatouille and Pirates of the Caribbean.
