Forza Horizon 2 will soon be removed from sale

It's the end of the road for Microsoft's Forza Horizon 2 racing game. Microsoft has announced that the 2014 racing game will be removed from the Xbox Store on September 30th. As part of the game, the game reached the status "End of Life" of its DLC will also be torn.

If you already own the game, you can still play it, and you can download it again if you need to delete it to free up space. It is not immediately clear if Forza Horizon 2's online services will remain available after the game is removed from the sale.

The official statement from Microsoft did not say anything (via polygon).

Microsoft did not say why it removes Forza Horizon 2 from the Xbox Store, but there is a pattern for "sunsetting" the Horizon games. Microsoft removed Forza Horizon 1

in 2016, four years after its first release in 2012. However, be sure to download Forza Horizon 2 now because it is currently free for Xbox Live Gold members.

Forza Horizon 3 can still be purchased from the Xbox Store. The next entry, Forza Horizon 4, will start in early October for Xbox One and PC. It was developed by Playground Games, a British studio that made the previous tracks; It was recently acquired by Microsoft.
